Perth Storm

24 March 2010

Dear All Clients and Business Contacts of CapitalQ

I hope this message finds you all well, and that you have not suffered any serious injury or damage as a result of the storms on Monday here in Perth.

Unfortunately CapitalQ were not as lucky as some when the storms hit on Monday afternoon. The roof to our building was not able to withstand the volume of water received in such a short period of time and as a result there was very substantial flooding and water damage sustained throughout the entire office.

Luckily no one was injured, but it has been a harrowing past 48 hours as we worked to save as much of the office as possible and to attempt to re-establish some form of working environment.

I am happy to report for the most part we have been successful in this regard. We have a temporary office and as you can see from this message, much of our I.T. functions have been restored (or will be over the coming days). We are very thankful of our recent move to a ‘less paper’ office!

Phones will remain a problem for the time being. Our office number is diverted to our current location, however we have only one phone line. Accordingly, if you are calling and you are having trouble getting through please be patient with us. Alternatively, if you need to speak to us you can try our respective mobiles (see Staff Contacts) and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We are aware some clients have experienced similar issues, flooding in particular, so we wish you all the best in this regard.

For those clients with pending tax due dates, please do not be concerned, at this stage we do not expect anyone to miss any known deadlines as a result of these issues. We are however working with the ATO as we speak, to ensure that in the event any due dates are missed due to delays caused by the storms, no client will be penalised!

I will update you all as things progress.

Regards
